Hello plant enthusiasts! I’m thrilled to share the unforgettable evening Mike and I experienced at Mill Creek Gardens. From start to finish, this after-hours dinner party left us completely enchanted.
First things first, having Mike by my side as my second shooter for the event was a dream come true. He absolutely killed it, and I couldn’t be more proud.
Now, let’s talk about Mill Creek Gardens. This place isn’t just your average greenhouse—it’s a place with a story, a history, and owners who are as passionate about their garden as they come. You can feel the love and dedication they pour into every corner of this botanical wonderland.
Shopping, while surrounded by plants, in the warm, at sunset. Need I say more?
One of the coolest parts of the evening was learning about the science behind how plants affect our mood. Did you know that simply being around plants can boost your serotonin levels? And that giving someone a plant can actually trigger a release of oxytocin, the “love hormone”? It’s like nature’s way of spreading joy and connection.
But let’s not forget about the food and drinks! The charcuterie board, courtesy of Purple Basil, was an absolute masterpiece. Seriously, how did they cut the fruit into flowers?! Each bite was bursting with flavor, and it paired perfectly with the lush greenery surrounding us.
And speaking of drinks, the folks from Siren Shrubs put on a fantastic demonstration showcasing some fun non-alcoholic options. The history on the shrub was *fascinating*. Their drinks were creative, refreshing, and just plain fun to sip on.
As the night went on, we found ourselves gathered around a table illuminated by candlelight, surrounded by the soothing presence of plants. It was like something out of a fairy tale—a magical way to spend an evening with loved ones.
Needless to say, I’m already counting down the days until we can go back to Mill Creek Gardens. It was an experience unlike any other, and I can’t wait to create more memories in that beautiful oasis.
Love and Light,
Natasha
